I think self-esteem (as in knowing the Lord, understanding your nature, how you're made, and your place in the universe) has to be the route to achievement....otherwise you're always trying to prove yourself and it's never enough. And I think Maya Angelou understands that relationships trump achievement when the day is done.

  2. Great points all around Patty. Sometimes it seems like the most "successful" people can be the most insecure. Imagine exceeding all of your expectations and still not being fulfilled. Scary.
